The 3rd Annual Moonshiner's Fly-In will be held at the Johnson County Airport, Mountain City, TN on August 1st through the 4th, 2019.

With breathtaking mountain views this general aviation airport has perfect amenities with plenty of camping sites, water hook up and waste water dump on-site. The option of a hotel stay with reasonable rates is right around the corner at the newly remodeled AmeriCourt hotel. With both asphalt and grass runways available for take-off and landings bring your trike or foot launch unit, this fly-in is friendly to both.

This year there will be live bands, fireworks for night entertainment, food and beverage service provided, and 100LL aviation fuel and 2 stroke oil available in the FBO office. The date of this fly in will coincide with the “Tater Hill” free flying paraglider competition that is located only a few miles up the road for those interested in visiting that event during the daytime.

An FAA Notam will be implemented for safety that will alert general aviation aircraft of your presence in the area. Early August has proven to be the best weather conditions in East Tennessee but just in case of rare inclement weather we have two large hangars for equipment storage and shelter.
