Texas Equusearch

Post by Beery » Thu Aug 16, 2018 3:48 pm

FYI,

Brandon Oberlin is looking for some PPG volunteers for a Texas Equusearch search this Sunday (8/19/2018) about 2 hours away from Indy. Due to the weather, the target looks like there may be a window Sunday AM. You have to be comfortable launching from a tight LZ.

If anyone is interested, give a shout. For those familiar with where I live, it is about 80 miles away.

If there are any pilots in the Morehead, KY area, there is a Texas Equusearch search and recovery operation anticipated along Triplett Creek for maybe as much as 10 miles. We would be searching Saturday morning (9/15) around 7 am.

An 8 year old boy got pulled under and into a drainage system and is anticipated he came up near an area where his body would have went down the river. As the creek was flooded and outside its banks, the body could be in fields that were flooded. The water was moving pretty fast and if he made it into the main channel, he could have ended up VERY far downstream.

Aerial searching is needed if they do not find the body today. They have been searching for a number of days now.

If you can help to possibly bring closure to this family, it would be appreciated.
